Gen-Eco Ecolite Balsa Beams

The use of timber in ceilings of restaurants, cafes and kitchens has been a popular trend for several years.
However the use of solid timber in these applications can be quite expensive (and in most cases a waste of a valuable resource)

Due to the lightweight advantages of Balsa, the total cost of supply and installation is greatly reduced compared to using solid timber (no need to structurally engineer the ceiling to take the weight of timber).
Nominal weight for a 2400mm x 195mm x 50mm is 4.8kg per beam
Combine that with OH&S issues of weight and safety during installation, one can quickly see the added advantages of Balsa ceiling beams and vertical fins.

Gen-Eco are able to provide non load bearing ceiling beams and panels in many surface finishes as an alternative.
These include:
  • Digital Printing
  • Timber Veneers
  • Laminate
  • Vinyl
